278895 2004-10-07 07:44:00 Using Xandros 2.10 with the latest Firefox and Thunderbird.
One of my favorite sites is HowStuffWorks.com. I get all the latest links by email.
When I click on these links in Thunderbird they wont open in Firefox. If I change the default to Konqueror the links work but without Macromedia Flash Player which is necessary to view the site properly. I have the Macromedia Plugin`on Firefox so to get it to work I have to copy & paste the link for every item. Can anyone give me a few clues to fix this annoying
problem. I remember it used to work with the Mozilla Suite

278896 2004-10-07 09:42:00 If I remember from your last post, you didn't have a preferred applications option in the KMenu? Try going to where you have the default Konqueror option listed, and see if you can add firefox as a option. If there is a field for command, enter in firefox %s. If this doesn't work, you will need to enter in the absolute path to the firefox executable followed by the %s
eg. /home/i-gorden/firefox/firefox %s

See if this helps. Xandros seems to do things a wee bit different to standard Linux distro's.

278897 2004-10-08 03:36:00 Thanks Jen,
Fixed now, What was happening was Firefox was saving the links instead of opening them. I always knew it was something simple. Just needed a good nights sleep to clear the head.
