| 278836 | 2004-10-07 03:44:00 | Hi Im trying to find places in auckland that will sell HP Laserjet 5 Fusers to the public. I found one place that will do it for @ $65 per hour with fuser @ $155 Im thinking of replacing the fuser myself but i need a sevice manual which are hard to come by... anyone got one? |

| 278837 | 2004-10-07 04:04:00 | May I ask why bother? New laser printers are full of new technologies and come at a price starting about $250 for a decent one, see here (www.pricespy.co.nz) I strongly recommend the Brothers 5140, which comes with great printing speed and a 16mb internal memory. |

| 278838 | 2004-10-07 04:40:00 | Why bother you say sy.? The Laserjet 5 has a duty cycle of 35,000 copies a month. Its a business grade printer. The Brother that you quote runs out in the 1,000 - 9000 copies per month region (closer to the 1,000). The brother will need a new drum about every 3 toner packs based on my previous experience (for continued high quality output), and the drum costs the same as the printer (best to scrap it and buy a new printer?) while the HP gets a drum included in the toner pack. Its horses for courses. The Brother is fine for intermittent home use. The HP is for heavier commercial use. They each have their place though. |
