278927 2004-10-07 21:20:00 Sounds like multi-session all right.

I burn CD's by assembling all the content first, then burning it all at once.

If I use the XP drag and drop, then it caches them and when all are ready, I do one burn. Never try burning one at a time.

If using Nero, I open Nero, drag all the programs into it and when complete, burn it.

Burning one at a time is asking for trouble I believe. Plus its not needed.

Jams:

=Sounds ominous. Will take more care in future. Just find it takes ages to fill up the big disks, and don't like over-using same one all the time as disk may deteriorate or if I stuff up in a big way, I could ruin the whole disk and my saved programs. Not a good thought!

Thanks for that advice. Still learning re: copying/burning/writing to disk.

= Will copy properly as GF says. Also I noticed on friend's computer that the CD-Rom dirve drawer had a circular indent you just laid the disk on, whereas my laptop has a small centre part that held the disc firmly.

The spindles that a disc sits on in a laptop would probably help, though I've seen plenty of drives with the smaller tray size for 8cm CD's still not cope with the discs.
