| 279023 | 2004-10-07 19:59:00 | Hi Peeps! :D Is there any body out there that might be able to tell me why the Java Virtual Machine wants downloading every time it's needed, not just once?? ?:| My partner regularly visits a website that needs it, but EVERY TIME she goes there it tells us we don't have the 'Java Virtual Machine' installed (despite its many downloads and apparent smug little icon in the system tray) on our machine and can we please download it. IE6 then sends me off to the Microsoap "We don't support it any more! Do this instead!!" webpage. Whilst your there, some one sent me this link www.support.microsoft.com via e-mail about "How to Work with More Than 64,000 Children Per Parent" worth a read!!!). :p So, any one got any ideas? Perhaps I need an older version, or perhaps I'm downloading the wrong version. OR perhaps it's not loading at start up, or maybe the Roswell aliens have taken over (amazing how they are doing so well at that hardware store, a?? :^O ) Regards, The Cell. PS Opps, bit long, hope it makes sense??! |
