| 1354407 | 2013-09-26 19:05:00 | Is anyone here on melatonin?? I'm on a prescription... It worked for a while. And now it kinda stopped working - which seems to have happened around the time of a refill. So, does anyone here have first hand experience, preferably long term, of melatonin? Specifically, would different brands make a difference? They shouldn't right? PMs welcome if you don't want to share publicly. |

It still works for him. His is a worldwide labs labelled one |

Before I used to get them in a generic pharmacy bottle with a sticker. Now I got the WorldWide Labs, maybe it psychological but don't seem to work now. Do you guys import or buy from a pharmacy? Looking at WWL's website, like ~7$ for 60. Paying ~36$ here. |

| 1354410 | 2013-09-27 06:28:00 | I was led to believe it was prescription only. We pay $5 for 3 months. He takes 2 2mg so he's on 4mg | plod (107) | ||
| 1354411 | 2013-09-27 07:04:00 | It is prescription only... But it isn't subsidized for those under 55. I can import it from the USA where it's a dietary supplement, for a fraction... All I have to do is present customs with a prescription for a max 12 weeks. I'm paying $36 a month... How comes he pays less and I pay 20 times more?? WTF. I don't understand this... |

| 1354412 | 2013-09-27 07:20:00 | This is what happens when you don't know what you are talking about. Just asked the wife, yes you are correct, it is $36 a month. I had it confused with another drug. Even his community services card and high user script card doesn't effect the price go the melatonin. | plod (107) | ||
| 1354413 | 2013-09-27 21:08:00 | I think I might try importing next month. I'll post about how that turns out. | Cato (6936) | ||

It's either he was given 2 weeks supply + 5 repeats and was charged only $5 (keeping in mind the repeats are not subsidised for Melatonin) or the dispensary is not being run by someone who does not know what s/he is doing. [Edit] Just saw your clarification post. Please ignore. |

| 1354415 | 2013-09-27 22:23:00 | Even his community services card and high user script card doesn't effect the price go the melatonin. Unfortunately melatonin is not a listed item on the Pharmac schedule, and therefore it does not attract any subsidy whatsoever - hence the community services card / high user card / pharmaceutical subsidy card does not affect the cost. As it is not subsidised, it pays to ring up a few pharmacies and compare the prices first so that you get the best value/money. |
