1353491 2013-09-13 01:10:00 Hi Guys

I have a basic website that I hand code in HTML (very self taught)

www.proudtobekiwi.co.nz

I'd like to be able to add a sort of scrolling blog like on this website

http://www.wendylsgreengoddess.co.nz/

Is this possible or easy to do, or do I have to start using a blog site ?

1353492 2013-09-13 03:09:00 That's the kind of thing that you'd do in PHP, not HTML. Better off going with a proper blog site :) pcuser42 (130)
1353493 2013-09-13 04:11:00 Possible? Yes. Practical? No. There are far better ways to do it than clunky old HTML4. Use Wordpress or Joomla or something. At the very least use PHP or ASP instead. Or HTML5. inphinity (7274)
1353494 2013-09-13 04:32:00 Yeah not hard to do in php with a few:

<?php
include 'template.php';
?>

Sorta things...

1353495 2013-09-13 11:07:00 Yep as Chill says just include on one page. Only that one page will need to be .php. Keep the standard page structure as it is and add the php extension and then include the script for blog (copy paste).

Note: I lol that a pc forum thinks php is a typo.

It seems that php is the way to go.

Must be IE then - sure it would have no problems with ASP...

I feel like quite a fool now. Although I find it even more ironic that chrome doesn't recognize php!
