The update being called 8.1.1 adds some features to the existing install of 8.1 See the following article ( scroll down to see pic's) windows-81-update-1-review (winsupersite.com) To answer the other question --- NO you still need to download 8.1 to upgrade from W8 from the store. 8.1 has to be in before the new updates will show and install. The only way to get 8.1 off line is install it Via a 8.1 DVD. Whats interesting, just did a install from a New 8.1.1 ISO the other day (from TechNet) , which has all the updates, BUT when checking this morning it still wants to install KB2919355 but is a smaller size than the original , Hmmmmmmm |
