1353579 2013-09-16 21:16:00 Oh Dear, the PC brigade is out in force again, is it?

Censoring/deleting an offensive word is acceptable, but did it call for a separate post pointing out the fact?? :(

We are not in Play School here.

Understand Zip, these people are the guardians of our thoughts, without them we would be less than animals.

The truth is inconsequential, what matters is the world as they see it.

1353580 2013-09-16 22:18:00 I must have missed the other thread someone referred to. Honestly though, nobody can moderate your thoughts that's just ridiculous. People are entitled to their opinions and expressing them is fine, but deliberately being offensive in the process is obviously going to get a reaction from the moderators, that's their Job. I'm sure prefect can express himself in a way that doesn't require editing if he wants to, he made the choice to use whatever those words were and I'm sure he was aware of what he was doing.

As to the subject at hand, I'm with the Japanese. It's their country and they are being fair and consistant with the rules. This is such a non event in my mind it should not have even made the news. It's just the Media pandering to this woman and being sensationalists that even brought it to our attention. The best way to deal with this sort of story in my opinion is to completely ignore it. Maybe if it becomes obvious nobody cares they'll stop reporting this drivel.

I've been refused entry to a nightclub for long hair, it's part of my culture as a bogan I think it's fair to say. Strangely it didn't make the news. I've also been in a group and had the doorman find excuses to bar us entry which were quite obviously just made up because they don't like large groups of guys (A long time ago, I look mostly respectable these days) - again it didn't make the news.

The funniest one I can remember is being refused entry to a DB pub for wearing a waikato beer T-shirt, quickly sorted out in the car park but it had me laughing.

1353581 2013-09-16 23:49:00 And the above is why our guardians get away with it. Cicero (40)
1353582 2013-09-17 00:52:00 Prefect, reign it in please.

Surely with the forum owned by Aussies, we can talk about Maoris like the Aussies talk about Aboriginals.

1353585 2013-09-17 02:50:00 Wonder if it still counts coz we have a .co.nz domain though? We could always rebrand under .com.au if that would help you all? ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
1353586 2013-09-17 07:31:00 I did not use any swear words. prefect (6291)
1353587 2013-09-17 13:47:00 Well that's coz they've been edited out. C'mon guys no need to act up for the new management :-/ Chilling_Silence (9)
1353588 2013-09-17 15:31:00 Pfffft. Not only are some of you guys being racist, but you're being nationalistic. Sad. Where's the love? Greg (193)
