1372230 2014-04-08 05:25:00 Right click the paint icon on the task bar and select close, might have to repeat a few times.
alternatively right click a blank part of the task bar and launch task manager, find the process there and close it (which is actually much the same as the first method).

If all else fails reboot :)

1372231 2014-04-08 05:27:00 rebooting just brings up the window again.
I figure it has to be a startup item but haven't sorted which yet

1372235 2014-04-09 07:05:00 Whats in the startup folder or msconfig / startup ?

Side issue -- your Nod32 is way out of date version wise, the icon is showing V4 or 5 its up to V7
