| 1371836 | 2014-04-02 22:57:00 | Windows XP Pro on dial up click on dial up icon ~ can hear it dial up ~ it connects confirmed by browsing the internet but right click on the dial up icon doesn't offer "disconnect" also under network connection ~ the dial up modem show "disconnected"? but it's really connected. causing a problem because it occupies the phone line until the computer is shut off. need to get the dial up to reflect that it's connected & give the capacity to disconnect any ideas?:thanks Oh, I have already recreated the dialup account without any resolve ~ still same as above |

| 1371837 | 2014-04-02 23:18:00 | I think I used to access "disconnect" by right clicking the little "screens" that appeared on the taskbar when the connection was established. | rumpty (2863) | ||

| 1371839 | 2014-04-02 23:56:00 | The communication between the ICS host and client is a network-style peer-to-peer connection without Dial-Up Networking involved. Therefore, ICS does not disconnect the dial-up connection on the ICS host. When you quit Internet Explorer on the ICS host, it communicates to the local dial-up connection and you are prompted to disconnect from the dial-up connection. The following registry value also verifies that the option is enabled: Start/Run/Regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\RemoteAccess\Profile\"Connection Name"\EnableExitDisconnect The value should be 01 00 00 00. |
