| 280147 | 2004-10-11 06:29:00 | I have noticed an increace of local web site pop up adds, also more sophistocated web sites giveing us larger downloads when I visit. So my question is, is a 10GB cap on a "unlimited? download" account at xtra/whoever, enough capacity? |

| 280148 | 2004-10-11 06:41:00 | Fairway, If it has a " cap " how can it be "unlimited"? Firefox, what popups? Chilling silence Explained to myself, and any who read (which is partly why I asked) That if adds and popups are blocked by Firefox, they are not downloded so will/can not eat into your "data cap" . What are you doing to use 8GB? D . |

| 280149 | 2004-10-11 07:42:00 | Movies, Stuff they will not release here because of the small market size. 8 gig would be 3 - 4 movies?, used to take an hour or so to get them down elsewhere .. but with this glimmer of hope that we can all have 8MBits for under $45.00 per month an unlimited download from Xtra is Capped? why? |

Movies will eat caps, My question/point was if Xtra/Telescam reduce your speedafter 10 GB how can it be advertised as UNLINITED/UNCAPPED . Woosh sell you an unlimited plan . if you consistently pop 10 GB the will approach, and ask if you are commercial, or would consider it fair to move to a commercial/heavy user plan . They have bandwidth on demand (for a fee) . They do not slam you speed as soon as you pop 10 GB like Telescam . If you wish to d/l movies in number, you must expect to pay some preimum surley? D . |

Why SHOULD I pay extra on an unlimited data download account? We need to set our sights in another direction, where it is NOT a priveledge to use the internet . (as the teleco's want us to feel, and screw us hard all along the way . . . for a $) |

| 280153 | 2004-10-11 08:28:00 | > Why SHOULD I pay extra on an unlimited data download > account? My point . Read the details = FALSE/ambiguios advertising . Plan is not truly unlimited . D . |

The plan is 10GB and then the speed reduces so the amount of data you are getting per month is unlimited/uncapped. Sure the speed reduces but they never said that it did not and it makes it quite clear in the advertisements about it. The data is uncapped not the speed which is always capped anyway regardless of what plan you are on except for Jetstream Full and we wont go there. |

We have to stick Telecom and with all the whinging you do if it pointless because you aint changing anything telecom does. And no i am not a fan of telecom but I work with what is available and am sick of all the whinging around here. Get on with life because there are more things out there. |
