280612 2004-10-13 13:39:00 Hi Budda,
If you are using XP SP1, you have 2 choices:

1. Right click on Taskbar, click on or move cursor to "Toolbars".
....A drop menu appears, then click on "Desktop", then exit out.
-this gives you the quick launch menu of what is on the desktop.

2. Right click on Taskbar, click on "Show the desktop", then exit.
...This takes you to the desktop screen itself. You can get back into the program you were working on by clicking on the program tab on the taskbar.

Regards, Marg.

280613 2004-10-14 04:58:00 If you mistakenly deleted the icon for the Desktop on the Quicklaunch toolbar

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
(where user_name is replaced by your login name)

Create a Text file called ShowDesktop.SCF with the following contents:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

280616 2004-10-14 05:32:00 heh?

Each user has this shortcut in there user files . ya just go poke ya nose around and find it,drag it to your taskbar . .

mine for example was

C:\Documents and Settings\Powerslave\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
