| 280788 | 2004-10-13 08:47:00 | I've got a 4 port ADSL router ,and I want to set up a home network so that all my 3 computers can share the files together,all the computers have winXp sp2 ,but i've tried to set up so many time,I still can not share the file???Can anybody help me please | jbai041 (6274) | ||
| 280789 | 2004-10-13 09:15:00 | hi alot of ppl have asked this similar question in the forum but basically, all you need to do this. in each computer, it require to have a unique name for each computer... then each computer must have its own unique ip address.. for computer A, it will be like 192.168.1 (0).xxx (0) stand for internal router, (1), stands for external then the network group must be the same on all 4 computers.. the default workgroup is MSHOME... after that, it should work fine... hope that helps Jacky |

With your setup it should be quite straightforward, but don't use ICS, you don't need it with a fourport router, provided that it is a router & switch.
