| 280755 | 2004-10-13 04:06:00 | I have an oldish profesional recording studio soundcard in very good condition, which has become surplus to requirements (due to a recent upgrade). It is a Gadgetlabs Wavepro 8/24, with 8 inputs and 8 outputs all at 24bit. As Gadgetlabs closed down quite a while ago, they have not provided any updates etc. to the drivers. This is a very high quality professional recording studio soundcard. More info here: news.harmony-central.com I wonder how much money I would be able to get if I sold this, second hand. It is in very good condition and still comes with original cables, plus the drivers etc. to get it going. The only problem is that as Gadgetlabs no longer exists, there are no drivers for Win2k/XP (it is only Win9x compatible). |

| 280757 | 2004-10-13 10:35:00 | Like metla said, it is a willing seller-willing buyer matter, but I wouldn't hold out for more than $25 if you are lucky. The key thing would be to advertise it somewhere that keen audio types frequent, or put it up for action and see if anybody bites. You don't have to sell it if your reserve isn't met and who knows, you could find yourself in the middle of a feeding frenzy. What can it do that is so special? Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 280758 | 2004-10-13 18:58:00 | It can simultaneously record 8 channels input and output, plus has a very low latency due to its Asio driver. A similar soundcard purchased new would cost at least $1300. It is a professional soundcard (24bit, whereas CDs are 16bit), so you can record things at a high enough quality to produce professional-sounding CDs. I was thinking of maybe selling it to a local intermediate or high school, who could use it to make a recording studio (it originally came out of a school's recording studio, but it was surplus after they upgraded). |
