2004-10-15 21:12:00 | The point being that the world largest producer of CPU's has not only been beaten by a superiour product from AMD for the last 3 years thay have now dropped the ball entirely and are floundering. | metla (154) | |

2004-10-15 22:43:00 | Who cares. They are always out doing each other and will find some way to claim they are faster just as AMD did when their CPU core speeds were slower. As long as what you purchase performs to the standards for what you purchased it for then that is all that matters.

2004-10-15 22:50:00 | "Intel has a hotter, slower chip, so will have to do one of two things, either price accordingly, or sell into markets where power is not a problem." For the next person that says AMD chips are hot and unstable, I'll scream. Cheers Murray P

2004-10-15 23:12:00 | As AMD only just managed to break even this quarter after losing $274 million dollars last year, I don't think Intel is shaking in their boots just yet. | BIFF (1) | |
2004-10-15 23:18:00 | for those people postng. "oh who cares". someone must friggin care otherwise their would'nt be such companies as Intel and AMD. Their not always made for the home user with the stupid line of "if it does the job its good enough". Bussines' and companies want top of the line stuff that will do the job and do it quick. What, you think intel and AMD design and make their chips just for the meddlesome geek ?. ITS EXACTLY THAT big john, they purchase the high end CPU's to do the HIGH END work. and as long as these companies are making the high end equipment, they will be bought, be it by the general public or by the companies who want the best. "who cares"....pffft. jerks.
