281372 2004-10-15 14:05:00 I have created a ghost image of my C drive to a partition on a second drive, and when NAV scans it the normally silent drive makes unhappy noises; also when scanned by something else(I don't remember what). Is there a way that I can prevent the partition from being scanned by anything? Vince :| Vince (406)

Are/is there not control settings to define drives scanned by these programs.

281375 2004-10-15 18:05:00 What version of NAV do you have?

Mine (2003) has an option where you can set what happens in the Scheduled Scan, and set only specific drives to scan.

281377 2004-10-16 03:36:00 Thanks guys,

The exclusions setting was, to my mind, hidden. The setting is in 'System Works', 'Options' rather than NAV.

Being part of System Works makes things more complicated.

The 'select drive option seems to be a one time setting. Vince
