| 281974 | 2004-10-17 09:28:00 | this evening i installed a new anti-virus and ever since my my laptop (xp hm) has been freezing soon after boot up... i can't get to uninstall or system restore as it freezes on the way there... ctrl alt delete don't work either to shut it down it is not a virus issue and i ran ad aware earlier today so it is not that... any ideas? what can i do? any help much appreciated |

| 281980 | 2004-10-17 11:49:00 | Also I would suggest only having one anti virus program installed, my pick would be anything but norton. AVG is free. And if you need to double check for virus there is always the Stinger, which you download the latest just before you want to run a scan. |
