| 281803 | 2004-10-17 02:33:00 | ok got a .swf email and cannot open it, so was suggested i dowload shockwave / flash etc. did this and not it says on trying to open it X This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options Control Panel. can some one explain this to me and what do i do? OS XP Browser Firefox. beetle |

| 281805 | 2004-10-17 02:50:00 | Ive downloaded it already, i said this and now its giving me this popup when i click on the attachment to open (email attachment) ..... so i dont need to redownload shockwave...... i want to know about the control panel bit. im not grumpy, just tired and trying to get my head round this information...... :( and what has that lot of horses got to do with it???? 2nd entry ......... not helping, stupid game thing. svt.se It works yes i know but cant open the email attachment. ?:| beetle |

| 281807 | 2004-10-17 03:10:00 | Hi Beetle, If you have Irfan View v3.92, and downloaded the plugins with it, one is for .swf mcaromedia flashformat files. Go to properties>Extensions tab> scroll down to .SWF and click on the checkbox beside it. Then when whatever it is that asks you which program to associate it with, select Irfan View. No guarantee it will work, but it is a plugin in Irfan View so don't see why not. Best of luck, Marg. |

| 281809 | 2004-10-17 03:23:00 | Quickest and easiest way is just to open it in a browser, either by going Right Click --> Open With Or in IE, File --> Open and browse to the file. IE (or any browser ) will load the appropriate plugins etc and it should play as intended. |

| 281810 | 2004-10-17 03:28:00 | Yeah i had tried that to start but it wouldnt do that for some reason? so i saved it . and went from there. so downloaded shockwave and all other flash things worked well, but this thing, but got it sussed now, thanxs for all help. works with windows media player as well, so i know now if i cant get something to work to try other progs. thanxs beetle |
