| 281744 | 2004-10-16 10:42:00 | Does anyone know what this program, or whatever, does as it persistently comes up on my Zone Alarm fire wall? I have enquired via Zone Alarm, but to no effect/ no real advice. ie 180ax.exe Search Assistant. Destination 203.97.33.14:DNS and who is the information going to? Thanks anyone. |

I had another go at Google as suggested and yes 180ax.exe is a hijacker program, which does slow your computer down a bit. So it is worth getting rid of. I do use Ad-Aware and also Spybot, but both seem to miss this program. I have found "Hijack This exe" is a small program which seems to get rid of those programs Ad-Aware and Spybot apear to miss, but be careful what you delete!, It is not a "safe" as Ad-Aware or Spybot.
