281662 2004-10-17 02:10:00 Alpha . . . I use my real name because I am prepared to be responsible for anything I say .

Perhaps I'm less at "risk" than some because I don't indulge in childish personal attacks on other people . I sometimes remark on people's behaviour when it seems inappropriate . I have from time to time felt like responding to offensive behaviour in stronger terms, but I have managed to walk away . It's not all that difficult . I think the term might be "grown-up"?

If someone behaves like a spoiled five-year-old, it colours my opinion of that person . But it's the behaviour which offends me .

Right.

It is also called accountability, standing up and being counted.

It is also courteous to give ones name when visiting a 'house'. Hiding behind a pseudonym is like running scared.

But then, maybe I'm old fashioned.

I applaud your attitude towards responsibility & agree with Terry's comments about accountability.
(Yes, I have a pseudonym, but that was the fashion when I joined)
You two have been here for yonks & no doubt seen many volatile characters come & go?
I guess you can put me in Terry's old-fashioned camp as well.
