| 282113 | 2004-10-17 23:56:00 | As an OT OT diversion, growing up in a house full of females (apart from my dad of course) it always annoyed me when I went to the little room and found that they had left the seat down AGAIN. Heaven knows, we asked them often enough to put the seat up after they had finished but no, they only ever thought of themselves and left it down every darned time. I was tempted to take it off permanently to teach them a lesson but my Dad muttered something about not tempting fate so I didn't. Problem is, because we did nothing about it right back when it started, the annoying habit has spread and now it seems like they are all doing it, leaving the seat down that is.X-( I'd be interested to hear how the fellas on this thread feel about this inconsiderate and thoughtless behaviour, and any excuses the fellesses might have for their blind refusal to cooperate on such a simple matter as putting up the darned seat after they have finished. Cheers Billy 8-{) :| |

| 282116 | 2004-10-18 00:16:00 | Billy, I have the answer to your prayers . It's called the Wondrous Snap Up Crapper Lid . Basically it's just a coil spring attached around the seat's hinge pin which is in tension while the set is down . I had experimented with bungy cords but the results weren't always satisfactory when it came to getting the by product into the bowl . One bug I'm still working on is that the seat action is more viscous than Archright's till, any body parts left within the seats arc to the upright position go along for the ride, ouch! It's starting to heal now that I have acquired the cooperation of a new beta tester, on threat of withdrawal of pocket money ;) Cheers Murray ;P |
