281762 2004-10-16 22:06:00 By now the gmail system has been tried out by "experts" and "others".
Being in the "others" category I'd like some feedback as to whether users are happy with it, or not.
Thanks,

Marnie

281763 2004-10-16 22:15:00 Im happy - it takes a while to get used to how they group the emails ( i got confused becasue a heap of my trade me auctions fiinished at the same time and all the replies were all grouped ) , yet after you have gone through the learning curve its the best thing ApeNz (4220)
281764 2004-10-16 22:30:00 Yes I like it also and the bonus is that the address's I have (more than one) have not been spamed yet (that I know of) and I use one of the address's a my web registration address . I dont mind the advertising (targeted) as the service seems good and nothing is free. It is still in beta and I have filed a couple of reports but nothing major. It has had a couple of outages but it was not down that long beama (111)

281766 2004-10-17 10:43:00 Gmail is fantastic the in the way it groups the emails, super fast as it doesnt display the images unless you click the link. Rob99 (151)
281767 2004-10-17 18:59:00 Hi,
I was liking it too until I came across some mail that I just can't open, but I could previously from the same company. It comes up with 'Oops, could not perform your operation, try again in a few seconds' Not sure if it is a Gmail problem or company problem. So now I have gone to their site & changed to my Hotmail address.
I was hoping to gradually do away with Hotmail but maybe not just yet, I think.

281768 2004-10-19 09:54:00 Thankyou Rob and Pauline for your replies.

I was also thinking I could use it instead of my hotmail address, when I don't want to give out my main emailing address, but obviously that will be down the track for me too.

Speaking with a friend in UK, she was more concerned about the chance of spyware and her emails if she used Gmail.

Cheers,

Marnie
