| 282540 | 2004-10-18 22:57:00 | Ive just reinstalled my brothers computer setup and have a dual booting system with Windows ME and Windows XP Home w/SP2 i removed the Imapi burning service as well as disabled the cd burning option on the cdrw hardware properties. I have now reinstalled Nero v5 and now nero cannot see the CDRW Drive. should i have changed the Imapi service to manual instead of disabled?? I will not bother with WinME as i only use it for older games. |

| 282541 | 2004-10-19 01:01:00 | Disabling XP's burning thru Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services shouldnt hurt Nero. I've disabled it here. Nero works. Turn the cd burning option back on. (IT will most probably stay off since Imapi is disabled). It shouldnt affect things. If u just disable Imapi burning. Umm, it might be because ME might need ASPI drivers, XP doesn't with most programs. BUT some older programs will expect ASPI drivers to be installed when u run them on XP. |
