282283	2004-10-18 05:53:00	In a time where we are surrounded by cynicism, dislike and general negativity, I thought that it was wise to share with you how amazing I think PF1 is. I've been to other forums, and where they would simply ban without warning, ban without care, ban for a simple joke, ban for a spelling mistake, ban for a single emoticon post, ban for sharing opinions, ban, ban, ban... PressF1 would understand, the moderators would realise the issue and try and solve it, they would try and coerce the community into banding together to create a greater good... ... and for that, I thank you. Stay far away from the place. They've got an even worse "in" group than PressF1. They'll even put you in a special 'should we allow you to post in our forum' group before they give even you authorisation to post. So you get judged and discriminated against simply for your username. They'll throw a s**t fit if you spell a few words wrong, "your" and "you're" is constantly preached about by forum 'god' Whetu. Also if you have an opinion which differs from the rest of the community etc, you're gone. Whetu will ban you if you have a better computer than him so don't advertise your computer specs. I think I read somewhere that they have a 'pecking order' and if you get into an argument with someone that is "higher" on the list, then you're hope is instantly lost - banned. The other person might be abusing the hell out of you, and you sitting there calmly but this pecking order reigns supreme. that dear people is what we call propoganda there is no sign of a pecking order, sure if you pick a fight with a senior member chances are your the one who is gonna come off second best, but that is the same with most forums whetu has not banned people for having a better computer than himself (as far as i know) and if that was the case half of the forum would be gone now there is no special group before you can post, there is an automated sign up process and then you are a junior member where only the buy/sell area is off limits, after a while your cotribution to the forums is assessed and you may then be considered a senior member sure there are a coupe of mods who ruin it (silverpriest, geek4life) but all in all i think the forums are actually run quite well	lagbort (5041)

This is aplace where you can post as above, and walk away . You should think about that . Before you blindly support annarchists who unnessecarily attack the innocent and un-knowing . 282292	2004-10-19 05:09:00	LOL, i can see how you got that one stuffed up, by pecking order he just means long time founding high use members>senior members>everyone else its not like a good buddys go first sorta thing and although vbforum software gives you "senior member" status at 100 posts, you still may be banned for posting in the bse untill the mods have decided that you have contributed enough, so if you are posting useless crap you might have a 5000 post count but still not be a senior member whereas someone who comes on and is really helpful and knows what he is doing may get senior membership at like 50 posts but yeah, sounds like you had a bad experience, what was your ocnz username?	lagbort (5041)
