Just thinking out loud, I wonder if it is possible to have your preferred mouse set up saved in a personalised profile, similar to the way you can set up printer profiles for different jobs? Alternatively, maybe you could block access to the mouse settings and require the other users to change to the more efficient and movement-economical system. It wouldn't take long for them to adapt and they might avoid potential RSI issues by doing so. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 282530 | 2004-10-22 03:45:00 | Thanks but really there is NO issue with RSI etc It's really quite simple :- I just want to be able to specify a new mouse, in due course, that has the point of sensing 50mm (as per my current Microsoft wireless wheel mouse) or less (the less the better) from the fingertip end. For example we have a brand new Samsung ball and cord mouse that no one wants to use because the sensing point is 70mm from the fingertip end whereas the oldest (Microsoft Intellipoint) is only 40mm For the record 2 Logitech cordless mice are 60mm As you can probably read between the lines I'm rapidly gaining the impression that I like old fashioned mice, maybe ! Have a good weekend, everyone |
