Get some forced ventilation to them asap azsen.:O

No consumer electronics device likes to cycle that hot, and electro-mechanical devices get even pickier due to lubrication problems. IMHO no hard drive should be anything more than warm to the touch.

Are they generating that heat themselves or is it the result of accumulated heating inside the case from CPU, GPU, PSU etc?

Cheers

282366 2004-10-18 21:32:00 Oh no, they are quite hot to the touch. :O I've got them stacked one on top of the other in the drive cage, which might not allow air to get through... I don't have a front fan either. The problem is there's only really 2 drive spots unless I want to stick one next to the floppy drive.

Everest Home Edition has the sensors in the Computer - Sensor tree.
