283044 2004-10-20 10:31:00 I can't reach JSG pages when logged in with the JSG login.

I've been on Orcon's 128/256 Jetsurf plan, and applied for the new uncapped bitstream service about a week ago. Today I tried to download a game via Jetstreamgames using the JSG login, but couldn't get any JSG pages.

I haven't received confirmation that I'm on the new Orcon-only plan. I tried to contact their helpdesk today but it was constantly engaged - an unknown phenomenon.

So if I am on the new plan, does this exclude access to the free JSG realm, or is there maybe a problem with the JSG login?

Thx for any input.

283045 2004-10-20 10:49:00 It was my understanding that if you're on a UBS plan, you lose connectivity to the realm. You can thank telecom for that :8} You should still be able to access the FTP and gameservers from the intarweb though. segfault (655)

Yeah it seems like this is the case. I can access their ftp site via my usual login, but I've now posted the same question on the realm, so waiting to hear.

Hopefully my ISP will be available tomorrow to answer officialy

283047 2004-10-21 04:17:00 But can they do that?

Because logging on to the realm is anonymous - user@jetstreamgames.co.nz and any password.

JSG or Telecom can't tell you from another JSG user.

Not anonymous - both ISP and Telecom identify via IP

But until you actually log on to the realm with your modem you dont actually have an IP address. That is allocated by the connection when you connect to the realm with your ADSL router/modem.

283050 2004-10-22 05:52:00 well since the realm is now a different system from UBS then it probably won't work. Then again, once Telecom gets UBS working for real (i.e. not some hack), it may work again.

Try ask Telecom, a lot of people would like to know the answer.
