282932 2004-10-20 07:44:00 Hey guys I have just spent the afternoon downloading files from

ftp://linux.jetstreamgames.co.nz/dist/fedora/updates/1/i386

all the files are RPM's, what I want to know is how do I update my Fedora Core 1 installation directly from the RPM's... do I just click on them is there a safer automatic way that lets Fedora decide what it will update?

cheers

282934 2004-10-20 09:37:00 AFAIK for Fedora you can install an app called Yum. It'll basically then fetch all the dependancies for you....

Otherwise, if you've got all the files you need, you can:
rpm -Uvh *.rpm
