283339 2004-10-21 09:04:00 Can anybody help?

I want to install a bona fide copy of MS Project 98 on a new notebook however I have an upgrade copy which needs a MS Project 95 setup disk to install. I recently moved house and biffed all my floppy disks in an effort to tidy up my life and, d'oh, the Project 95 setup disk was among them.

A six pack of Macs Gold or similar for the first person to loan me the disks.

Thanks

283341 2004-10-21 21:33:00 Thanks,

It should do. I have the manual for v3.0 but not the disks. That must have been what I upgraded from.

Would you help?

283344 2004-10-27 03:00:00 Unfortunately the Project 98 upgrade disc doesn't recognise the Project 4.0 setup disk.

Can anybody else help?

283345 2004-10-27 03:08:00 Sometimes "original" floppies are recogised by the label rather than the contents. :D Some people are even sneakier, and put "illegal"characters (even just a <space> ) in the label, so the DOS LABEL command won't do it. That's when Norton's Utilities is handy]:). Graham L (2)
283346 2004-10-28 07:42:00 That may describe the problem but how does it provide a solution? All I have is a zipped copy of the files from the setup disk not the original disk.

283347 2004-10-31 06:19:00 Thanks Graham L and Merlin,

Sorted.

Graham L, If you'd been more cryptic I wouldn't have worked it out. Label the disk SETUP and it works.
