But it sucks to hear that Squarepeg, theoretically it should've been fine but who knows what they're doing over there. You should've been able to que in for the new plan, and when it changed over today then it should've switched you over to the new plan automatically. It's like they've got all these locks or something and they can't change your plan half way through a month. Ridiculous really, they need a better database. |

| 283177 | 2004-10-31 01:16:00 | It is obvious that Telecom are only responding to the competition being offered by other ISP's now being able to offer their own broadband product. On the one hand I think that stinks so bad that the commerce commission should be taking them to the SFO and they should be burned at the stake. On the other hand - as an iHug customer who uses Telecom's Jetstream system at 256 kbs I was thrilled to be told that my service is being increased to 2mb/s. I still have loyalty to iHug - they provide me with everything I need - so Im happy to pay them $10.00 a month for that service - but they told me they can't match the telecom service upgrade. So I wont be taking on Bliink. It still sucks that we are mere junkies and T/com is the dealer - we are pitifully grateful for whatever they give us. But I really dont care - if I can get a faster download for Online Games and file downloads - I can stomach my misgivings about the morality and ethics of T/coms business practices. |

No - what will change for you is that instead of paying an excess per MB charge, your speed will drop to approx dialup once you exceed your 3gigs. > Or, is it just for the $70 a month paying Flat rate plans? Yes. Their 10gig plans will go from 256k to 2mb/s |
