Its a Windows default for a second floppy.

It's available, but using it can give odd errors if it's not a floppy/5 1/2 floppy.

283243 2004-10-22 01:20:00 Sorry,

I have been so slow to get back. If you open TweakUI, I am fairly sure that there is an option to show or not show the drives on your system, you should check that.

283246 2004-10-22 10:14:00 Hi, FrankS .
Yes, I understand that B: used to be the 5½ floppy, but since a mate of mine has his HDD partitioned to C and B without having experienced any problems, I thought my li'l ol' Zip-100 would cope, which has proved to be the case, so far . It makes a nice tidy configururation .

Different path, same result, FrankS, to see the files on the disk . Have you a programme called Winuscon, incidentally (Windows User Console)? It has an amazing galaxy of controls, all grouped into a console that can be minimised to the top of the screen, ready to be called up with a click . Going to Disk Management, for instance, is a breeze .

I use Zip to communicate between my two computers, since I have no need — nor desire — to network, and my no . 2 m/c has no burner .

283247 2004-10-22 10:24:00 zqwerty (nice easy name to type): Can't find TweakUI in Control Panel, so I can't have installed it yet; I'll hunt for it tomorrow .

TO ALL MY HELPERS: Thank you for your help on this topic; I appreciate it .

283248 2004-10-22 10:33:00 GrahamL: would you please explain the first sentence of your post .

As I replied to FrankS's post, labelling it B: made a nice, tidy configuration . (Emoticons won't show up, else I'd have put in a laughing one . I seem to have trouble with things going missing!)
