283843 2004-10-23 08:30:00 Good evening all
I seem to have a problem with one of my emails attachments.
A freind sent me a .wps file which I guess is some word proccessing document. But for some reason when I click on the attachment nothing happens.
I'm lacking a bit of lingo here, but the attachment title is light in colour as if the option is not available. I'm sure there is a proper word for it.
But in any case I cannot open the attachment.

283844 2004-10-23 08:34:00 That is a MS Works file,...Its probally easist to get the sender to save it as rtf and mail it again. metla (154)

That would depend on whether you have the same version of Works as what the file was created in.
As Metla suggested it would be easier to have the file resent to you as a .rtf file.

283848 2004-10-23 09:07:00 That's a good point but my friend has just landed in Chile & is gearing up for the World Spearfishing Champs so I think he might be a bit busy. So I will try the works install tommorow morning.
Thanks for your words, sounds like this might work.

Cheers Ron

Sounds like a solution.

The term is greyed out.

It sounds more like the old OE6 not allowing access to attachments.

Try in OE going Tools -- > Options -- > Security -- > Untick "Do not allow attachments" or something to that effect.

Restart OE and see how that goes.
