| 283558 | 2004-10-22 07:44:00 | just recently while downloading some mp3s a few of tehm have randomly been like 18min long and had a bitrate of 32kbps now the mp3s should be like only 3-5min long each. when i go to play the mp3s it plays a clicking sound over and over, or atleast sumthing like that, quite slowly. all the file sizes are that of standard mp3s encoded at the stated bitrates on kazaa, 128, 160, 192..... is there any way for me to fix the mp3s, a mate of mine once said somthing abuot all it being was server settings being stuffed, and being able to use a program to fix it.... or is it less of a hassle to jsut downlaod the songs again |

| 283561 | 2004-10-22 08:20:00 | it also could be possible its just a corupt download ...try redownloading it. tho sometimes !@#$ people (before RIAA started doing it) simply share crap eg half edited movie/song or incorrectly named files that they have left shared instead of deleteing. |

Why immediately imply that he is pirating them? He may well be pirating them but there are actually mp3's out there on Kaaza and others that are not pirate copies and are free to download by anyone. There is not enough evidence to say he is a pirate just by what he said here so please don't jump to hasty conclusions. |

Ditto. I detest so-called do-gooders that always impute bad motives in people. He pointedly said he was looking for mp3's that can't often be found anymore - this highly suggests that they're well beyong the copyright expiration period. |
