283615 2004-10-24 09:57:00 That is the "wee bit of diffulculty" i refered to,To be honest i do not know,I hate giving out info that may put someone in a bigger hole then what they are already in.

Looking at the instructions i can't see a lot that could go wrong, its a simple command that makes messengar show up in add/remove........Although comps have the interesting behaviour of breaking in new unheralded ways on a constant basis,Or should that be users are constantly blazing new pathways to Computer Hell.

Worth a crack.:D

283616 2004-10-24 19:26:00 There is a FAQ on removing Messenger from Windows SP. See "FAQ #71 - How do I remove or disable Windows Messenger in Windows XP?"
Option 6 provides a link to a removal tool under "Downloads", item E.

283618 2004-10-26 22:10:00 All sorted Thankyou.
Windows Mess does not show in add/remove. Have just deleted the Icon.
MSN Mess was "Wiped" using a long "String" I got from elsewhere. Had ro run it twice & manually delete some files found thro "Search". Downloaded Mess v6.2 again * all hunky dory. (Maryann is relieved that I got it right !!!:D ) Thanks again PJ :D
