1355524 2013-10-09 03:51:00 Can someone recommend good app for either iphone or android for making phone calls Internationally.

It doesnt matter if it will use WiFi or over cellular data.
I dont mind a paying app where i pay for minutes as long as it provides good call quality

1355525 2013-10-09 04:03:00 Does the party you want to call have a smartphone?
I recommend Viber, both of you will need it.

Otherwise Skype, free calls to landlines in certain countries, pay otherwise.

Google Talk has free calling to landlines in the US I think?

1355530 2013-10-09 04:49:00 You could always just sign up with 2talk for an actual 2talk SIP line. The SIP client is built into Android as of Gingerbread-2.3, so you just pop in a username, password and point it to the 2talk.co.nz server and you're away laughing.
Because 2talk are prepaid, you know you're never going to go over your minutes.
They're a local, reputable company.
They're also very good quality :)

1355533 2013-10-10 06:07:00 I use voipcheap with both my cellphone and landline phone. I don't even have a smart phone. I can dial my own number and my folks number in the UK at the same time from a computer and the 17 euro it costs to set up gives me about 6 months of calling. It will also work with a smartphone and the voipcheap app. The call quality is pretty damn good too gary67 (56)
