| 1355763 | 2013-10-11 23:17:00 | I'm just pissed that why do people change things when they are working fine -- cant help but fiddle,then most of time things stuff up in one way or another. Because it's hosted for free and was costing me money. I have moved it to a different server that won't cost me as much money. The community is welcome to organise free hosting elsewhere if they wish however I would note that this is the first lot of outages since the site started. Uptime has been 100% until now. |

In defence of Clear/Vodafail it is only the one site that is causing problems for me so I’ll forgive them this time. ;) But I really do think it is time to introduce Public Floggings for those who fix things that aren’t broken. :D The issue is broken DNS servers that don't respect the TTLs, as I think was stated above. Try this service: www.kloth.net The fact that changing your DNS makes it work shows that this is what is happening, and why it is only broken for some people. |

| 1355766 | 2013-10-11 23:29:00 | Just did, for a while there it was all over the place giving different IP Addresses, seems to have settled down now to 198.50.154.31 which is Host lithium.failover.co.nz Location US US, United States City Newark, NJ 07102 Organization OVH Systems ISP OVH Systemsat one stage it was 23.92.88.67, then timing out or couldn't be found So dont know what was going on ? Maybe it wasn't Telstra at all, maybe some place over seas was playing silly buggers ? |

| 1355767 | 2013-10-11 23:30:00 | 23.92.88.67 is the correct address and has been set since about 11:30pm last night. 198.50.154.31 is the old one. I have setup a NAT rule to forward port 80 to stop people whinging, but that server will be offline on Monday. Hopefully Telstra and OpenDNS have sorted themselves out by then! |
