| 1355379 | 2013-10-08 04:03:00 | NO. Short of being in an accident or having some sudden major medical emergency or your house suddenly exploded, there isn't. You know when you bid what the closing date is.....so there is no other reason for not responding - or asking someone else to respond for you. So how do you know that the other person hasn't had a sudden major medical emergency or their house suddenly exploded? Earlier this year I had to race up north to my parents and completely forgot that I had stuff on Trade Me. Luckily the poor auction winners were sympathetic when I finally got on the internet and read my emails a week later. I probably would have earned myself bad feedback if you had been one of them. :( But yes, it is frustrating when people don't respond and I have encountered plenty of those. I have even had two people actually pay for items with the intention of collecting later but never turn up for the goods, despite a couple of reminders. Oh well, their loss and my gain. |

Again though, it shouldn't specifically earn you a ":-(", which is why a multi-faceted numerical rating system would be a much better idea IMO! | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||

Because these people usually find time to login into trademe every other day. Easily confirmed when you look at their feedback page . It give the day they last logged into Trademe Real excuses as you give are a rare occurance . Cant remember the last time my house exploded  Its usually BS or no reason given . |

It give the day they last logged into Trademe Yeah, I have noticed most of the ones that have been slow have still managed to log in, though. Still, I don't expect people to be quick, I give them a few days. Most come through eventually - if I get the money and all ends well I don't care. But I won't say they were fast if they weren't. Only a rare few never contacted. |

I didn't say you have to go be all nasty in their feedback....just that it is rude....... If they don't get back to you, well you relist and give neutral feedback. It can always be changed. But some people do procrastinate. I know one, he's shocking. |
