2014-04-16 00:47:00 | Wouldn't be with out one now. Just brought a crucial m500 240GB for $144 from Amazon, not the best of brands but hard to argue with the price. Samsung ones around the same size were not a lot more expensive. www.amazon.com - Free shipping to NZ, the 250GB is a good price if you need that bit more over the 120.

2014-04-16 02:57:00 | Actually the crucial drives seem to be one of the better regarded brands from the reviews I've read. I'd certainly not have a problem using one. Mine is a Samsung 830 I've had for a while, it's great.

2014-04-16 03:40:00 | Yeah reliability is #1 to Intel AFAIK, with Samsung in a close second. Bang-for-buck you can't go too wrong with Crucial though! Still plenty good AFAIK :) | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
2014-04-16 04:28:00 | Yeah I had an Intel 330 120GB in it before, the 320 died (like lots of them did) and CL replaced it with a 330 which has been fine for the last 2 years. Just needed the extra space so I can play with 8.1 in dual boot with OS X. Would have brought a better one but it's due for replacement when a new MPB comes out at some stage. | Alex B (15479) | |

2014-04-16 12:48:00 | I'd personally stick with Samsung. Not entirely sure why, don't particularly like the brand when it comes to their phones, but I've heard good things lately about their speed vs cost vs reliability. | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
