1354687 2013-10-01 22:31:00 I'll lay odds that there's not one person on this Forum who would not sacrifice their own pet, let alone an animal bred for science if it would save the life of their parent, partner or child . That means 'allow them to die so that an animal may live' .

Absolutely, but . . .

Difference to sacrifice for medical reasons, party pills is a totally social reason .

. . . And they have lab rats for that (Rats purely bread for that purpose) .

I say just legalize marijuana and be done with it .

Yes and no . The legalization of selling would bring in more Tax and NZ would profit from that as a whole but on the flip side you've got to think about then, crime rate would increase of people not being able to afford the now Cost+GST+SmokeTax(they'd throw that in for the lol's) and having to rob, hurt and possibly kill people for their buzz . It would just increase Prison population causing that *extra money* NZ is gaining to pay for low-lifes .

There is a difference between a Smoker and a Stoner though - do not get me wrong about that!

1354688 2013-10-01 22:47:00 Cosmetics are tested on animals too, aren't they?
Best stop that as well.

Absolutely. Many people in various parts of the world have been working on that for years. There have been some successes.

Obviously you have never had a puff, if you had, you would know you're wrong

What am I wrong about sorry I don't follow? I'm not refering to Smokers of ciggies - I smoke dude!
I mean Smoker (of said drug) and what is commonly known as a Stoner. I know people who are daily smokers (Smokers I was refering to, not cigs - I smoke them!) still hold good, well paying jobs and then I know others who are bums who do nothing else all day.

1354692 2013-10-02 00:54:00 I like dogs so I'd prefer they picked on something else, possums maybe. However I recognise the need for medical testing on animals as well. Not cosmetics or recreational drugs though, no need to torture animals for the vanity and entertainment of people. dugimodo (138)

Has putting the tax up on ciggies and alcohol had an effect on the crime rate? Pot is pretty much a victimless crime, any crime directly related to pot is purely the cause of stupid laws try to curb its use. To legalise it would not see an increase in other crime or a decrease in other crime.
