| 1373193 | 2014-04-20 23:38:00 | My friend with the new computer cannot get Internet Explorer to close - no minimise/close X at the top right.... I haven't seen it, and wonder if the window is oversized so those tools do not appear.... any other ideas please? In the meantime I have suggested using Control/Alt/Delete and using Task Manager.... | 1373194 | 2014-04-21 00:03:00 | Whats the OS ?? if its windows 8, are they using the Normal Desktop IE, or the App version on the Start Menu ? If its W8, then they must not have the latest updates installed if using the Start App, because that does put the close buttons top right when mouse is moved to the top. If its a IE8 App, move mouse to top of screen and it will turn to a hand, left clcik /hold and drag to bottom of page OR press windows key + Down arrow. If its the normal desktop IE, try pressing F11, it may be in full screen mode. |
