1355359 2013-10-07 06:02:00 Not heard a word in 4 days, sent 2 emails.

Is this normal, I say that as all my other trades have communicated with in 2 days.

1355360 2013-10-07 06:37:00 Not a good sign. Probably a bad egg. I think you have to give the trader 5 days to respond. After that you should probably contact Trade Me if the seller doesn't respond. ChazTheGeek (16619)
1355361 2013-10-07 07:01:00 Delete all reference, the bugger just rang, nice as pie and wants my a/c #. Cicero (40)
1355362 2013-10-07 09:25:00 I've had a few slow people. Some seemed to be deliberately doing it. Most got there in the end though. Agent_24 (57)

1355364 2013-10-07 11:08:00 If they're not in touch with me same day, I'd consider it "slow" by todays standards. Chilling_Silence (9)
1355365 2013-10-07 17:39:00 I had one die on me once, well that;s was my conclusion. I was the buyer and I found out from his feedback that several people had also bought stuff and were waiting for account info, after 3 weeks I gave up, no money changed hands gary67 (56)
1355366 2013-10-07 18:30:00 It's rude really......the auction closes, they win....so why then take days to respond? They know when it closed, they know the process, OK, straight away perhaps not, they may be at work....but leaving it longer than 24 hrs is just plain lazy. pctek (84)

I agree, but pleasantness always wins me over.

That's a bit harsh. There are innumerable reasons why a 'winner' may not respond immediately. Yes, it is polite to respond as soon as you can, but TM must have had reasons for suggesting 5 days. I think we should allow a 5 day gap between "polite" and "rude". Some TM folk don't have internet - they have to visit internet cafe or library to check. They may not be checking email every day. I've had sellers not respond for 2 or 3 days even after I've paid almost instantly with PayPal, but I don't see that as rude. Some folk over 65 are subject to life's slowing down events.
