I work with better two year olds............ but what i dont understand is what is wrong that they had to do this...? some health care scheme ? so it shows some one cares for others....and thats wrong? or am i off tack here? Thank you, :) |

| 1354734 | 2013-10-01 20:22:00 | In a nutshell Republicans do not like the health care law that the Democrats (Obama) are putting through So to try and stop it they threatened to withhold operating funds to the government. (this is basic funding for running govt departments) Today they made good on their threat and did not pass the bill to enable further funding to the govt. The result is all essential services and govt departments are in shutdown mode. |

| 1354737 | 2013-10-01 20:39:00 | In general, Right Wingers (Tea Party, Republicans, National Party, NZ First) care far more about the health of their (usually already substantial) bank accounts and much less about the welfare of the group (rest of the population), they don't like anything that bears any resemblance to socialism and which looks to them like communism. ie Universal Health Care. They should be put into their own countries to get on with their lives without the workers they despise to support them. |

In stead of sitting behind their own little desk and seeing it thru rose tinted glasses, they just want all the mean nasty things to go away so they throw a big tantrum and the monster stays in the closet eh? and all the normal hardworking people suffer by losing their normal wage cos their business or place of work had to shut? wow sounds a lot like NZ parliament at times lol most politicians dont care about the little people, they care about looking rich and keeping their bank balance firmly in the black... thanks guys :) |
