284369 2004-10-25 06:48:00 Yes, this is very very off topic but what the heck. Purchased a dvd today of a Genesis concert recorded at Wembley Stadium in 1987 and I am in heaven. I have it on VHS tape and played it so much it got noise lines in the middle of the picture. I never thought they would bring it out on dvd... and they have. Great concert, even better in DTS 5.1 surround (has Dolby Digital 5.1 too).
Home by the Sea is just... just awesome (loud of course).

Questions to be answered, laddie-
After starting an inane thread that was followed by holiday weekend inanities by lots of us, you ignored it. No response last time I looked.

Now you're contributing to somebody else's thread, instead of signing off on what you started.

And Andrew93 & I still want to know what was on the roof..?.

284375 2004-10-25 22:54:00 Isnt genesis phil collins old band? Genesis many many years before me so im most likely wrong. Pete O'Neil (250)
284376 2004-10-25 23:10:00 Genisis were at one time a fringe progressive rock band fronted by one Peter Gabrial(sp?),Releasing numerous albums that sold few copies they were considered extremly talented but were a bit much for the average punter,Peter moved onto his own thing and Phil Collins who was the bands drummer took over the vocals (after he failed to get the drumming position in Black Sabbath)

After the change in personal they dropped the whole prog angle and delved straight into the sickly world of radio freindly pop music,Finally reaching the depths of crapville with "I can't Dance"

On the side Phil also done his solo albums and the guiterist formed Mike and the Mechanics whom had numerous number 1 hits in the states,Peter as you should know found international success with Sledgehammer but it probally had more to do with the video then the song,....To show how anti-marketing he has been in the past he released 7 ( i think it was 7) albums in succession all entitled Peter Gabrial.

Excuse the spelling.
