| 284164 | 2004-10-24 11:18:00 | How good is the SP2 Firewall? I am currently using Zone Alarm. Would there be any advantage in using the Windows SP2 Firewall instead? |

MS should stick to....um whatever it is that MS do well. Thats it,Rape and pillage. |

An example is a recently released worm/trojan disguised as a CSRSS.EXE service accessing the internet illegitimately which would not have been detected without a third-party firewall. This is definitely not good advice and I was surprised that Paradise was telling this to customers. Zone Alarm is a better firewall than the windows but a lot of people don't know how to use it and end up blocking things they shouldn't and getting into problems. Listening to Leo Laporte (The Tech Guy on KFI AM 640) right now on internet radio and he recommends Sygate Personal Firewall, which has a free version. | twelvevolts (2623) | ||
