2004-10-25 22:14:00 | I remember exams, did really well in 5th and 6th form, developed more of an attraction to girls and alcohol and failed 7th form. What i found interesting was that both Auckland and Waikato uni's have bridging course, no entry requirements, that if you pass gain you access to uni. I was always under the assumption that if you fail bursury that your screwed for the rest of your life.

2004-10-25 23:06:00 | I nearly can't be bothered with the effort. I am glad I have my parents jumping down my neck to keep my going. Doing level 2. Chemistry, Physics, ICDL, English, Maths, Spanish. It scared me that the only one where I passed everything in the practise examse was Spanish. eeegh.

2004-10-26 00:42:00 | Ah exams - what a pleasure they were. In my day there were no internal assessments so one could concentrate on the exams to get a qualification. I still have some papers from the 1950's and one geography question I tackled (this was in the depths of an English grammar school) was "Discuss and give the reasons for the rise of the dairy industry in the Waikato area of New Zealand". Little did I know then that one day I would live in the Waikato. | Dally (6292) | |
2004-10-26 03:21:00 | back in the day of school C you could stuff around all year until november, pick up ur game and pass, but not with NCEA update: ive actually got 6 exams, the sixth one is the science lv2 physics paper, so if you do physics you can do that science lv2 physics paper worth 4 credits and you have 3 hours to do it, well i better get studying, over and out :D

I've managed to control the 'distractions' but i'm sure once summer starts its going to get much, much worse! - David |
