284537 2004-10-25 12:39:00 Late night stuff, but I just read a post one of our own wrote from far afield.
I can't help this guy. I don't know enough.
Just trying to bring it to the notice of those who perhaps can..?
Check out his post & help if possible.

284538 2004-10-25 12:53:00 Sorry, people
Didn't tell you what thread I was talking about.
Posted by amijinx recently tonight from an internet cafe.

(I'm still waiting for my sister to email from one on her Shangai visit.
I'm not blaming Shangai for the silence - rather her lack of knowledge in finding one).

284541 2004-10-25 20:51:00 Hmm ... I think in a round about way, Laura was trying to bump this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz). Although, seeing the post was made only one hour prior to her making this post (and in the middle of the night) it is not unreasonable for it to still be unanswered at that point in time and bumping it is unnecessary. 284543 2004-10-25 22:12:00 YEah I had the same problem but in a different way.I used Dial up.

I installed program when i should have restarted the computer when it asked to.
I install 6 applications and after rebooting it.THe net wouldn't work.No data would be sent or receive.
THe only way around this was to format my computer
This happened with my windows 98se computer

284544 2004-10-26 13:01:00 Sorry, Guys
I read it tonight & I was confused by what I said also...
No, it wasn't substance abuse.
Blame it on light-headedness after only about 4 hours on & off sleep in the preceding 3 days. Did PF1 in the small hours while sitting up alert for more pain from someone really ill.
Guess it caught up on me without my knowing.
Tonight I've had some sleep & am not surprised by your reactions.
(Hospice respite care coming up)

284545 2004-10-26 13:17:00 That post ended up rather more personal than I intended.
But I would like to add that PF1 posts have been a wonderful source of mental diversion from other problems in the middle of the night.
Often it helps to click the mind over to something completely different.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who's found that valuable.

284546 2004-10-26 13:34:00 Hi Laura,
Been down that road myself. Lazyboy chair was a godsend. Hope you have some good friends who can support you emotionally. It's a rough road and will be thinking of you.
regards, Marg
