| 284378 | 2004-10-25 04:05:00 | Installed Microsoft Office XP Professional. (Previously had the Student... version loaded) Now every time when opening up a Word document or an Excel file a dialogue box comes up "Installing components for MS Word (or Excel)" most annoying! Also with any folder open, going to File/New used to offer the option of opening up a new Word or Excel doc/file, now those options are not there? Any advise please? Thank you |

| 284379 | 2004-10-25 04:11:00 | Greetings and Welcome to PressF1, Try going through the re-install process, but this time mark everything as "Run from local Hard Drive", then go through and remove the items you dont want, marking them as "Unavailable", not "installed on first use". Somebody else will have to help you with the second part of your question, I dont use Word :-/ Cheers Chill. |
