284919 2004-10-26 15:44:00 It seems to me, (please don't take this the wrong way) a lot of people seem to be glued too hard to PressF1

Thirty, sorry I take that back, twenty years ago we all talked about that great TV show on the night before at work, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea .

Now at work some joker that stands at the window looking down the road with his back to everyone behind him (well what else could he do when you are looking out the window) I put this tread down to "free to air TV today is a load of #####"

If there was some great new unseen comedy on TV1, TV2, TV3 like "On the buses, Allo Allo, Dad army, etc wouldn't you proffer to take a break and watch the odd TV program instead of asking stupid questions at PressF1 like I have just done . Don't get me wrong I am not saying we should all sit in front of the TV, but the only thing worth watching is the news and even that is getting XXXXXX xxx . Then the drink-drive advertisements are enough to make you go out and drink-drive .

Right there on my TV

Read books, watch movies, listen to bands, talk to lover, all options but all I do is read Press F1.

Just a joke.

PressF1 is a small part of my life.

I used to find it very depressing and slightly surreal when at work every day everyone was talking about the same things they had seen on TV the night before.

I think it is better now.

284921 2004-10-26 18:35:00 PF1 is a light diversion from the trials and tribulations of real life, not a substitute for having one.

agreed - it's an escape.

If I'm not on PF1 I'm sometimes here (www.mrexcel.com).

Plus I agree the standard of TV programming has gone South.

284923 2004-10-26 19:48:00 South is RIGHT! The standard of tv programming is very low...and the ads? Ughh! Mada (248)
284924 2004-10-26 20:38:00 I am suprised that there are ANY houses in Australasia left to "Do UP" or Auction. If I cannot sleep I don't count sheep, but DIY programmae on TV, ZZZZZZZZZ. PJ :D Poppa John (284)
284925 2004-10-26 20:46:00 If PressF1 didn't exist, my grades would be alot better -'cuz I'd be studying more . But because of PressF1, I have a proper hobbie and something to look forward to . . . .

284926 2004-10-26 20:57:00 PF1 is only one of many other forums I visits, usually I visit about 10 different forums a day, so if PF1 is not around, it wouldn't affect me much :P SKT174 (1319)

284928 2004-10-27 00:08:00 Far better to be "glued" to PF1 than, as I see lots of other retired blokes doing, trailing along after their missus pushing a trolley in a super market... Ugh.. perish the thought!

A fine day today, so this afternoon up into the bush with the dog to do a bit of route clearing at the side of a waterfall, and cutting back windfalls and supplejack that have completely blocked the narrow spur :) Ah, that's the life.
