| 284916 | 2004-10-26 09:59:00 | Dear friends, Pheonic helped me to get my XP up and running again. But ever since Windows Office 2003 is still a pain! each of them (Outlook, Excel, etc etc) refuses to open, displaying: "The application failed to initialize properly: 0cx0150002. Now, there are many tips about initialisation failures on this forum but none with this code! I tried the repair function from the Office 2003 disk, but it did not help. If I completely reinstall, will my folders with nmail then be deleted? cheers Johan North Shore |

If you look at this MS Knowledge Base article here (support.microsoft.com) it mentions SP1a and if you have upgraded or repaired your OS. Did you do either of these things? It gives the resolution as reinstalling SP1a and then restarting your computer. Not sure how this applies if you did have SP2 before doing a repair of the OS, guess it would be the same. |
