2004-10-26 05:55:00 | Hey , I was thinking of buying some speakers some time this week. I've narrowed my choices down to 3 sets. BTW, my budget is 90$. 1st choice: ($65 ex gst) www.xpcomputers.co.nz 2nd choice: ($79 ex gst) www.xpcomputers.co.nz 3rd choice: ($75 ex gst) www.xpcomputers.co.nz Also, i've never heard of this brand, but its offering a 5.1 speaker set for only $75 ex gst which i reckon is pretty good. www.xpcomputers.co.nz I was wondering if any of u guys owned one of this brands' products and if they were any good. Can you guys plz suggest which ones the best buy? Thanks in advance :) Sean.

2004-10-26 06:06:00 | Really? I've seen some of their other models somewhere else as well, but i didn't really think they'd be good (they're soo cheap!!). | static (4108) | |
2004-10-26 06:16:00 | I have a set of the Logitech Z-340's and they are very nice... The bass is excellent and the midrange is good for the price of them... I'm surprised you can still buy them! I would go for the Z-340's but that's just my opinion... If you can find a local store with all of the speakers you're looking at, go in and ask them to demo them in front of you and choose the best pair.

2004-10-26 07:53:00 | I really wanted something with the most bass. I've heard the creative set ( my friends got it). But i wanted to know if I could get something better in the same price range. And i thought i'd ask the pros for their opinions :p | static (4108) | |
2004-10-26 08:18:00 | The Logitechs usually have an 8 inch sub that's around 20W RMS in power which is more than most of the Creatives have... My Logitech speakers next to my mate's Creative Inspire 2100's have no competition! But test them all out first before you buy :) | wintertide (1306) | |
2004-10-26 09:41:00 | > I really wanted something with the most bass. For your price range I'd highly recommend a set of TDK Tremor S40's. I've got the S150's, and I've heard the S60's. The S40's should be really good, and the couple of reviews I've just read are really good. "GREAT SOUND TDK Tremor S40 Speakers $99.00 inc GST www.tdk.co.nz For PC, Mac, DVD, mp3 etc. Most of the speakers that come with PCs produce lifeless, tinny sound. TDK's Tremor speakers change that, producing clear, rich sound." Netguide
